bebé bueno

He wasn't awake for fireworks this past weekend but Elliot learned to read maps, way-find through scenic back roads, listen to the river and now appreciates camping in secluded national forest. He panicked at pitching a tent and didn't desire to help with the fire but he had no problem sleeping under the stars and snuggling next to his dad all night. We treasured our first weekend away from the heavy heat and city sounds.

Morning in the Mountains

His mom is the best.

It looks as if he just told her a joke. And they share a laugh. Amazing.

Eleven pounds of toughness
He wouldn't say whether he liked the Gore Range (pictured) as much as he did the San Juan's.

  1. Chris we are enjoying every word and pictures on your blog. Elliot looks to have picked the perfect spot to go camping. I could not tell if Elliot was the pilot and flew you to your destination in Colorado or you stopped on your way thru Fargo. Nevertheless he looks like he kept warm basking in the sun. Thanks for the continued updates. God has blessed us all with Eli. Love Always Dad and Mom
